Steam - 61030

61030: August 26, 1966: Not the best of negatives but still interesting. B1 61030 Nyala (56A) runs light at
Healey Mills. Note on the distant hillside is an 8F with a freight on long closed line from Barnsley via Crigg and
Middletown which joined the main line just west of Healey Mills. The engine is on a stretch known as the Golden
Mile. In the busy steam days at HM it was not uncommon for trains to be queued up for the full shift and never
turned a wheel, hence the term 'Golden Mile'.
