45596:
26 September, 1967: Very lucky to catch this unusual working passing Healey Mills - D5242 (LO)
towed Jubilee 45596 Bahamas to Hunslet, Leeds, for work on preservation. It had been stored at 9B Stockport
for over a year, since retirement in June 1966 after suffering a hot axlebox, purchase for preservation taking
place during August 1967.. Notice all the Class 37 and 40s in background - and the brake tenders.
This loco became 25092 under TOPS. It was withdrawn during May 1980 from Cricklewood, being initially stored
at Toton, finally reaching Derby Works during September. During the summer of 1982, 25092 was broken up at
Derby works.
